Had a bunch of obligations, and yesterday a very strenuous hike. Finally back on the bicycle! Out real early today for a great AM run. I’m still optimistic I’ll make my goal, but I definitely backloaded it! Great to see all the posts!

Not going to click 'like' on everyone unless anyone is chasing that # (let me know, I'll oblige). But I really want to tip my hat to everyone and let you know that it is motivating. I have reasons beyond enjoyment (health issues) to ride, but I do like it, and it's heartening to be able to duck in here and get enthusiasm by osmosis.

Weather has subsided a little (back to usual hot-as-you-know-what summer temps) in Albuquerque. This morning I had a double milestone: first EKG with blockage detected (we're not at all surprised) and went over 1,000 miles for the summer (since May 22) by tossing another 27-mile log on the fire immediately after the doctor's appointment. In her words: "If the biking were a problem, you'd be dead by now." Alright, then. Guess I'll ride.

Going on statins tonight. WOo hoo.

I’m with you on the motivation. Lots of folks doing a lot of riding. That’s awesome!

Sorry to hear about the blockage. Life has a way of constantly changing things up. I hope the medication does what it’s supposed to do for you.

Out early, strong ride again. I added a new route - Hebron Valley - which is very hilly and has phenomenal panoramic views of the mountains. Skipped the severe climb of Quaker Run, but still managed 58 in this heat. Looking like 700 is within grasp after all.........
