Hi guys,

can anyone help me identify which model is this one?
I also have a rust problem which I want to solve. Is this bike worth trying to restore to original or should I just repaint it?

Thanks!

Perhaps for tomorrow's posts, you could describe:
6. The color of the frame and whether there are chrome portions on the front fork and rear triangle.
7. Any and all decals on the bike
8. Whether the crank is steel/cottered or whether it is aluminum alloy, and what branding may be cast into the crank arms or rings
9. What branding marks are on the shifters and derailleurs, and what branding marks are on the brake levers and brake calipers.
10. Any markings on the hubs, quick release skewers, or rims, and whether the rims are chrome steel or aluminum.

You can add a picture to your gallery and someone here can post them for you.

It is approx 84 model year. I haven't been able to find model names for these anywhere. A similar one recently posted. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...t-mercier.html
