after our crash and burn we took it into the shop that we had them quote new brakes and I guess they had already ordered them. we broke a brake lever so they were able to replace the brakes with 4 piston Shimano Deore calipers and I think the same level we had. with finned pads and discs. the mechanic broke them in a bit and we have a 20% down hill a few bocks away let me brake them in the rest of the way. man two fingers and I can stop easily on that hill. these are so much better it is a huge difference. Now they should eep cool too.
