Tires for a 1991 Miyata 1000 lt

I was very lucky this week and scored a nice 1991 Miyata 1000. I will post a pic when i get her cleaned up. I was thinking of putting some Rene Herse tires on her. Have any of you done that and if so how wide a tire did you try? 700c size. Any other tire reccomendations? I do not plan on touring with her,she is going to be my main squeeze for day cycling. Thanks

Perhaps measure it up? I'm thinking 38's should be a good fit.

With or without fenders? For daily riding my thought is 32s, 35 max, but that’s me. Also post photos of the bike!

I run Continental Tour Ride 38mm tires with fenders on my 85 Miyata 1000. The calipers shows they are exactly 38mm in width.

Wild it has that much clearance. How’s your fender line? Which fenders?
