Looking for a New Bike
Hey everyone. I've been looking for a new bike. I was hoping some of you could help. I had a Specialized Hotrock that I really liked, but was looking for something a bit more advanced. I like 24 or 26" bikes, hardtail suspension, and disc brakes preferred but not mandatory. It would be used for commuting, but I'd like to be able to take it on mountain trails and a pump track. Any suggestions? I'd also like to keep it as cheap as possible, without sacrificing quality. I was thinking $500 maximum. Any help is aappreciated.

Jenson has a sale on a 26+ steel frame that's a little over your budget but great specs.

Your budget is a little light and your requirements a little off-market. The only 24" mountain bikes are youth models and that's pretty much true now of 26ers too. The market is focused on trail bikes which make ok but slow commuters and are too big and squishy for a pump track, and the non-clearance price is more like double that.
