The man whom you've indirectly insulted through his preference in bicycles.
You seem to forget there are human beings behind all of this. Your hateful, vile, repetitive trash is searing itself over the memories I had of every mile I drove and every piece of foam I carefully put over that frame to make sure it'd ship and be received in absolutely pristine condition.
I'm sick of listening to you spew your garbage here. Your incessant attack has been heard once already. Everything afterwards has been a personal slight to get a reaction out of us. Troll somewhere else.
EDIT for everyone (except Robr) reading: I thought I was in the Japanese Steel thread when I wrote this, so these comments are referring to the wrong thread. If anything, these comments are a lot lighter had I realized we were in a thread celebrating - and hopefully respecting - the late Bill Reavis' love for Fuji bicycles.
-Kurt
P.S.: Mongoose Supergooses stink.

I’ve never owned a vintage Fuji but have referred to that site time after time. Given the circumstances, this may be a good opportunity to recover as much of the site as possible as a mirror. I’ll see what I can do...

I'm a little late joining this thread.
Yes, unfortunately the creator and owner of ClassicFuji.com, Bill Reavis passed away in April. After a few emails went unanswered I did some research and saw that he had died somewhat unexpectedly. He was a good friend and mentor to me and a huge influence in my early Fuji days.
The good news is that I talked to him about taking over the site at some point. We (William Bevington and I) have all the content in our care. So I can safely say it will be back at some point. I'm not a web guy so I'm relying on others in my Fuji group to help it move forward.
Keep the faith everyone!
Scott
ps. If anyone needs some questions answered about what was on the site relating to a Fuji they have please let me know. I may not get back to you quick but it will happen!!

I am so grateful to everyone coming together on this!
I noticed it was gone yesterday and I was literally preparing to copy the entire website and re-up the content onto my personal site just in case it was going to be gone forever!
I am really glad that that you are all actively taking care of it. It is sad about Bill.
We should be extra appreciative that he did all of that work and he in a way lives on through the website. I wonder if someone who knew him could sort of help put up a memorial bit about him onto the new site when you folks are able to re ignite it.
Thank you again! I love my Fuji and I loved to look through that website.

Some of you have written with questions regarding Fuji, I hope to get all those answered as soon as possible.

Condolences
My FIL and my wife are the original owners of two early 80's Fuji's. I overhauled my wife's bike for a bike vacation with the kids, and offered the same for my FIL. The bikes were a joy to work on (well, except my wife's right pedal) and I found the site to be a useful reference. It's not often that I'll have a reason to care about the human behind a website, but I was sad to see that Mr. Reavis passed after finding the vintage Fuji archive site when I saw the domain expiration. Thank you both for your dedication to what I've come to regard as attractive bikes.

Just call me Carrie
Mine was inherited. I loved that bike for 12 years until the day I moved to the other coast and didn't have room to take it with me.

If you guys need a place to host the site, I'll extend the same offer I pushed to Velobase and CyclesPeugeot: Ping me, I probably have the long-term resources you need for bandwidth & hosting, and if it's cycling related, I'll make it work pro bono.

While we're at it, this is a great read of the namesake.

Fuji's easily hold their own, then, now and always, period.

I was just on the website “vintagefuji.posthaven.com” and there is a statement from August 2019 that the site owner Bill Reavis suddenly recently passed away. Scott Ryder, photographer of "Japanese Steel: Classic Bicycle Design from Japan" states that he is working on recreating the site. No further word though on that. Hope this helps.
As of now, there hasn't been any forward movement on the new ClassicFuji website. But that doesn't mean we haven't been having discussions about it. It's on the hotplate! I'm hoping to add more content to my Fuji Posthaven website this month. I'd really love to get some restoration stories and photos from Fuji enthusiasts. What would other people like to see?
Thanks everyone for your patience and continued good words for the Fuji brand!
Scott

In addition to the link that cb400bill last October, I have begun to post full catalogs on my Fuji blog with it's new name: https://classicfuji.posthaven.com
Let me know how they look. I'll probably do a year a week, maybe more. My goal is to someday combine my Vintage Fuji site, the Fujita saddle blog (fujitasaddleyfc.posthaven.com) and all the catalogs.
Cheers,
Scott

Me too, asked for it and got it, fantastic work, well done, Thank You!
Another aside that bears noting and repeating.
Fuji is arguably one of the oldest bicycle brands still being used, having been around for over 100 years.
