Old vs New
Coming from a 97 Cannondale R200 and making a switch to a new bike, has anyone had issues with crank width issues one their legs? My old bike was 5 3/4” from crank arm to arm and my new bike is just under 5” so the pedal position is almost an inch narrower! And i went from 170-172.5 not sure if i will even notice that but legs feel off on the new bike inner thighs seem to be strained and those are the only differences. Maybe I just need more miles to get used to it but has anyone ever had this?

There are spacers available to put your pedals a few mm outboard.

Sr Member on Sr bikes
Is it possible that you could correct/achieve the additional 3/4" by adjusting the cleat position on the your shoes?

My guess is that you will adjust to the <1" difference with more miles.
