New Mate

Oi Folks I am Sean from Escondido. I gave up driving a little over a year ago and have been riding a bike since. I try to get out and do longer rides on the weekends and stick to the commute during the week with odd trips to the store and to where ever I wish around town.

I picked up a new Giant OCR2 back in May my first road bike and I love it
I don't have a pic but I have added aero bars here is a stock photo

My other bike is a Raleigh M60 MTB although its got a broken spoke with a rear wheel out of tru.

Mostly my riding is around North County but will also get down to the 56 bike path with some friends. I gen will map out a ride on Google Maps and ride it out.

Hello from La Mesa (east of San Diego)

Hi all...I am retired. Biked to work (San Diego State) for 25+ years. I now ride single track with some friends in the local mountains and put about 40 miles a week on the road bike in the east county area. I ride a Rock Mountain Evolution mtb and a Trek 1400 road bike. I have begun training for time trials and am playing with my gearing on the Trek to make it more hill climb friendly. Other interests include kayaking, hiking and motorcycles. Carl

I live in Thousand Oaks, been off the bike for a while and it's time to get back in shape. I ride a Merlin and prefer the "Show and Go" rides where you head out and see where you end-up.

Hello, people. I just got me a pre 1985 Nikishi Custom Sport about 3 weeks ago. I am new to ridding. I go to UCLA, its much easier to ride a bike, and let me tell you, from a person who drives down to the corner to pick up a pack of gum, ridding is fun, but i am not useto it.

I am slowly building up in length i ride.

Howdy Ho everybody!

I'm Adam. I live in Long Beach, ride all over LB, do distance/fitness rides around LB, up and down PCH, up and down various river trails, commute to the scenic city of Commerce. King's bike shop in Seal Beach recently built me up a Surly Cross Check and I'm loving it. I also recently became car-free and I'm looking for suggestions of how to spend all that money I'm saving. Drop me a line, I'll ride with just about anyone.

That Tommasini is indeed stupid fresh. My father got me into cycling as a young lad and my first memory of cycling is him and his blue Tommasini, so they have a special place in my heart.

I'm Dave. Have a home in Van Nuys. I ride the Orange Line Bike Path to:
* Sepulveda Basin Bike Path
* Topanga Canyon to PCH
* Sepulveda Pass to Santa Monica
...once on the west side, I generally ride:
* PCH north
* Beachfront bike path to Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, or Palos Verdes.

My return usually follows the Ballona Creak path to Sepulveda, and back over the pass.

I ride a 2008 Cannondale Synapse Sport 5:
* Synapse Sport frame
* Mostly full 105, except for the TruVativ Elita crankset.

Hi guys,

I've been here for awhile but I never introduced myself. I'm 57, and I've been riding for over 25 years. Back in the day, I was a member of the L.A. Wheelmen, and rode about 5 thousand miles a year. I did a century just about every weekend, and a few double-centuries.

Unfortunately, I let life get in the way. Marriage, home ownership, kids, serious illness, and the job all got in the way. Now Im nearing retirement, and have to drop about 60 or 70 lbs. Fortunately, I still own all my bikes, and I'm back on them.

I live across the creek from the Ballona Creek Bike Path, and ride it almost every day now. I make a lot of runs down to Redondo and Torrance, and the occasional run north to Will Rogers. My longest ride so far in the last few months has been about 40 miles. I'll be working my way back up to centuries and beyond as soon as I can.

See you out there!

Hey, I'm Noah and I live in Granada Hills north of the 118. I have a Trek 1000 and a Gary Fischer Wahoo. I ride my Trek between Granada Hills and Chatsworth, I'm still trying to build up my endurance. And then I ride the mountain bike in Aliso Canyon (Which is basically in my backyard...), Limekiln Canyon (Also really close), and occasionally in the mountains at the south end of Reseda.

My name is Mark and I live in Redlands. I ride mostly in the IE, cycle commute to North Rialto two to three times/week. I ride with Redlands Water Bottle Transit Company (RWBTC) on the weekends. My riding resume includes everything from ham and egg rides, commuting, to cross state tours, to self supported touring and just about everything but racing. I've been riding for about 12 years, but took a couple years off recently. Got fat drinking homebrewed beer and eating way too much without exercising. Got back into riding lots of miles and the weight has peeled back off pretty quickly.

I'll ride about anything on two wheels, but my current ride is a FWD recumbent.

It's Campy equipped, dual 700c, rolls out real nice. I also have a couple fixies, a Santana tandem and a garage full of various frames and parts, of course (don't we all?!!?).

Mark

I'm Andrew. I ride/live in San Diego. I'm ride a Cannondale on the weekends with SDBC, a Bianchi Volpe to work and around town daily, and a Bianchi Pista at the velodrome on Tuesdays in the summer. I'm a recovering fixed gear rider; my Surly Steamroller was stolen after 3 1/2 years of loyal service. I decided that a freewheel and derailleur are a couple of those inventions that aren't really all that bad.

Yeah, I have the same handle on SDFixed. I ride a chrome pista with red details at the velodrome. I've definetly seen you and that cool Griffen.

I guess I should add my name in here, proper and all tho I've been hanging out here some for a few months.

My name is Dave, I'm in San Diego. I used to bike around SD in HS on a green Peugeot during the late 70's (thanks coach Allor!), but now you'll see me along Torrey Pines during most lunchtimes and on weekends any old place I feel like huffing and puffing on either a white Lemond or a gray Kona.
