Hi malcala622. The seatpost is nice! I needed a post in a 26.2 size and I found this one. I see that you own a Torelli Strada. This seatpost is not going on a Torelli bike, but it is going on an Italian. I will start a build thread soon.

A new project for me and one I'm very excited about.

Detail on the side of the fork

Headbadge

I love how this is built

More paint detail

Digging this part too!

Shots were handheld inside. I'll get better shots and share them soon.

Not particularly exciting......

Not particularly exciting, but you cannot go far with a seized freehub. This is going on my touring bike which has sat un-used for 2 weeks.

Since they're low-spoke-count (by my standards) and V1 rims, my thinking is that I'll eventually built one up as a front wheel, with the other as a spare. It would have a dynohub, a Shutter Precision or maybe a SONdelux widebody. Spokes would be on the thin side, perhaps Sapim Laser or DT Revolution, maybe even CX-Rays. I might choose 1.5mm or 1.6mm centers based on whether the hub has narrow or wide flange spacing.

I just don't have a bike to hang my hypothetical wheel on yet, without converting another bike to 650B or wearing out my current front.

A Sturmey Archer FW four-speed hub and shifter dated 1953. I plan to build it into a classic commuter. I know a period Raleigh would be desirable but I think finding a Lenton, International, or Grand Prix frame at a good price for me is unlikely. So I'm going to search for a UO8 in my size and in time build this guy into a 700c wheel.

New headset wrenches. I finally broke down and bought a 2 4 in 1 headset wrenches, after years of making do with crescent wrenches, and Channellocks wrapped in duct tape. I have the damaged headset hardware to prove it. I used the new tool today, and things go much better with the correct tool.

Good move friend! I purchased a Park Tool 32/36mm after banging a couple of nice headsets up with the crude methods. The price is well worth the ease of use and the peace of mind.

Yeah, of their studio albums I'm missing "III", "In Through The Out Door", and "Coda". My record-collecting process is generally to get my favorite LPs first, then the others when they come to me.

I do have one LP of Claude Debussy performances by Ivan Moravec. It's good, but I could use more Impressionist stuff. My wife gets unnerved when I put on Ravel's "Bolero", for some reason.

Nice I have one laying around as well that I want to build into a wheel the next few months. Good luck!

Stronglight 107 triple. 52/42/32T in 170mm.
It was probably the original crankset on my Batavus but they are hard to come by. I won't be replacing the Specialites TA cyclotouriste but I just came across one that was really affordable and I've always thought they were good looking cranksets.
