ESPN now reporting Armstong's teammates getting busted raising suspicions

Turn on the TV. On ESPN they are reporting that two of Armstrong's ex Motorola and US Postal teammates admit to EPO usage further raising suspicions of performance enhancing drug usage by Armstrong. Frankie Andreu was one who admitted that drug usage is having a negative impact on the sport. Frankie has been a fixture of American cycling during the 90s. The other rider who works in the cycling industry requested anonymity. My guess is that it was another US rider, Marty Jemison perhaps or a former Discovery teammate.

Hamilton, Heras, and Landis are all former Disco riders that have tested positive. I don't know that it means Armstrong was a user. It could just they were tired of getting their azz handed to them every day in training and needed something to keep up with the big dog.

Hamilton and Heras did not ride for Disco.

Both of these riders got caught after becoming team leaders.

It's amazing what people who get put into leadership positions that are unqualifed will do....

Armstrong and Keith Richards have the same blood specialist in their rolodexes.

LOL, clutching at straws.

Both of these riders got caught after becoming team leaders.
One way of looking at it. The other is that both of them got caught when they changed doctors to ones who are less careful.

It's amazing what people who get put into leadership positions that are unqualifed will do....
Hamilton's performances under Armstrong do not make him qualified to lead a lesser Pro Tour team like Phonak? What a joke.

I watched a bunch of clips from stage 17 of the tour last night. Hilarious viewing . I'm still ecstatic, 2 months on...

Many have outstanding performances while not having to carry the pressure of leading others.

Once that pressure is applied, it's interesting to watch how some react. Everyone's work going to one person's success. That person not being able to come through when needed. Everyone else on the team looking at you, wondering if you can do the job. You may GET the job. The idea is to KEEP the job. Maybe, sometimes, people do things to try to KEEP the job.....the Machiavellian theory of leadership/management...everyone rises to the level of their own incompetence.

Leaders only lead with the permission of the followers. Because you might appear to be good enough to lead, it does not necessarily make you a leader.

I am guessing that's something with which you may not be familiar. Otherwise, your response would have been thought out a bit more fully.

BTW...since it is currently not possible for the "positive" sample to be (following the rules and protocol of the authorities) tied back to Landis (because the code on the sample in question does not match any of the codes assigned to Landis' samples), and the "positive" sample (whomever it belongs to) does not even meet the "positive" standard (based on what we know right now), and Landis' attorney electing to go to a public hearing so everyone will know how screwed up this system is, you might end up looking a bit foolish.

That, and the fact that it practically took an act of God to get the information that they currently have.

...and that we know they lied about the Armstrong test data last summer...
