How do I remove the BB cup?

I'm replacing the cottered BB in an old, low-end Bridgestone frame from the 70's with a square taper BB. Not sure how to get out the DS BB cup. I'm a bit confused with all the different terminology and standards, so it's been difficult searching and figuring out which method to use, or if I need special tools. Thanks in advance for your help!

Those 2 holes are for a pin wrench. to use the holes you may have to make that tool yourself.

the truck wheel bolt sized Tool may be made up of parts found in an Auto parts store . get the bolt long enough to be wider than the BB shell .

Then it can be flipped either way ..

Do you plan to replace the bottom bracket or is the inside pitted?

I replaced it with a cartridge square taper BB. (Never want to work on a cottered crank again!)
