Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wasn't me .

Will add though, I've never heard anyone from WI or MN speak like those in Fargo - perhaps bits but not overall.

lol,

I certainly do when riding if hot. Squeeze water bottle to wash off forehead to prevent concentrated sweat from stinging eyes.

Oh, yeah. This is MUCH more like what I expect from the DC Area in August. Heat, palpable air, sticky palms, sweat that won't evaporate - If I could afford to stay in San Mateo after I retire, I'd only leave in a pine box.

I'm blaming my sudden onset a-fib on covid. Thankfully, it affects me very little. I hope it is covid triggered iIn your case, so you might get past it.

I had a delightful ride today. On a route I haven't done since before covid. It contains the one hill easily reached by bicycle--an overpass. 33miles total. And speaking of pre-covid, I haven't felt this strong on the bike, or in real life since then.

Even I had so dearly hoped we were past Covid. I don't get close to people for at all long in the grocery store, and not sure if I want to mask at the PT. Damn.

It was like that during my second week in VA... which was much more pleasant than my first week in VA.

Forget the Civic Type R. What you want, or rather need, is the Integra DC5 Type S.

Sad. I was going to say I never saw that feature before. I tried searching segments on the web version, found the right one, but no data on recent efforts showed.

I've seen her dozens of times while mowing, or driving down the road. Not super fast, but hardcore. She's out there in the middle of the day during the summer, running the sidewalk along a busy road.

Usually runs like a robot, just looking straight ahead, but yesterday she came as close as she has to acknowledging my presence. LOL

Usually I'm running a machine, and it's not practical to say anything. I guess I could stop it and yell "Kudos," but that seems even more creepy than posting a comment on her Strava (if she even uses it).
