Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Is GRX compatible with XTR?

Have a cherry condition 2015 XTR 11 speed groupset in a box from when i upgraded a bike to Eagle

am currently planning a gravel build and noticed an SLX cassette specced with a GRX 800 bike build elsewhere

so if GRX works with the mountain cassettes, would it also work with a mtn rdr?

trying to put together a build that uses some of my old but nearly new parts if possible

thanks

In a word, no.

The rear derailleur still has a road pull ratio, and is compatible with other road levers, but not MTB. The GRX 1x derailleur is just built to work with the existing 11-40 and 11-42 cassettes

Need a cable pull ratio adapter. Then it works fine.

Wolftooth Tanpan
JTEK Shiftmate (8? or 8A?)

I'm using 105 R7000 shifters (same in this regard to GRX) and a Wolftooth Tanpan with an XT M8000-SGS and 11-40. Shifting works great.

+1 for the Tanpan. If you already have the derailleur then it's easier and cheaper to make that work with the shifter
