L'Eroica bike
I have a L'Eroica bike that i want to sell.
But in todays world things are difficult so please give your thoughts on what this baby is worth
It has the super champion derailleur system and wooden rims.
Loads of patina and the best value for this bike imho is to keep it as it is as, besides fit a diffirent set of wheels just to go riding, but keep the original ones for authenticity sake.
However that is just my 2 cents.
Please give your comments

+ 1. This is such a great bike but most of us don't deal with bikes this old much.

I don't know why. But, I've got the urge to spray that whole bike down with WD-40 and just let it soak in.

Worthwhile bike, even my size range, totally wrong time to sell a bike like this off.
Probably offers will be a 50% haircut from before.

My guess is that there is no way to predetermine the bike's value. When I run up against that issue, I decide for myself what I want for the bike. If the bike were mine, I would want $500.00 but doubt that I would get any takers. But I really no not know.
On Ebay, list the bike for $50 starting price but with a reserve (let's say $500 for now or what you want to make it). If there is an interested buyer, then you will probably get what you want (the reserve) for the bike. If there are two or more interested buyers, watch the price go up.
If you don't get the reserve price then you can lower the price and try again. Other than that, I have little to offer.
How much would I pay for the bike, myself? If nothing was seized and f there was no irreversible frame damage (dents, bent, rust), and it were sitting in front of me for me to carefully inspect, then I would pay up to $300, wondering all the time if I was making a foolish purchase.
