Pacer? (Bontrager Trip 4W)
Picked up a used model, complete with "instruction pamphlet".
Despite being extremely thin on explanations, I have understood it all except "pace". The arrow goes up... the arrow goes down. What is this based on? Current trip average speed? Something else?
What are the arrows indicating/suggesting?
Thanks

I think pace is minutes per mile (or km), and I think it's showing you whether you are above or below your average for the ride.

Thanks, Tom. It seems to trigger off MPH/KPH.

I was hoping someone that knew for certain would answer. I was curious too. Maybe they'll be here yet to contradict my babble that follows. <grin>
But if you are doing a workout or course that has a preset average time on it, then maybe it is showing you that you need to speed up or slow down to meet the workout objective pace.
If there is a place you can set the speed value desired, it might be somewhat useful for those that ride in paceline groups so when on the front you can get another clue if you happed to be not at the right pace.
