Classics from the 90's

I recently posted in the Touring forum showing my touring rig I built in 1995 which soon after the build went into moth balls for nearly 22 years but now I'm fully enjoying the ride. I also came across some nice brand new jerseys never worn and would like to post and show them off. The days when jersey art was something that really caught your eye. I'll be sure sporting these around town this season

Mapei jerseys, FTW. They represent the absolute pinnacle of tacky 1990's jersey design technology.

I've used Mapei tile products in my house. Much less garish, but heavier.

I work with a guy who brings his own music mix. He's almost the exact same age as me so it's pretty much based in what was cool in the 90s.

Nirvana, Hootie, DMB, Alanis, Crash Test Dummies; I love working with that guy.

Wish I could find a used one. My jerseys come from the thrift store, mainly, I've gotten some nice ones over the years, never paid more than $10.

I've got one of those Mapei jerseys. I have to admit that it makes me more than a little self-conscious these days.

Did anyone else ever hear of an old UCI rule that pro team shorts had to be black (or at least mostly)? I have to say I kind of miss those days; some teams are a little too colorful. It's equally obnoxious when NFL teams wear all one color.

Yeah, where's a fashion cop when you really need one? I do think that in the TDF, shorts should be at least a majority black or a solid dark color.

Mario Cipplolini really pushed the bounds of taste with some of his kit. I recall him having to trim off the legs on one outfit before the officials would let him race. Glad that fad passed, mostly.

Mario was a one man promotion company, and he was really good at it. A showman for sure.
