Does anyone make a toolkit that fits in a water bottle cage?

One of the PB brands I eat (skippy?) has kind of a celeste colored lid
An earlier poster in this thread suggested spray painting the inside of the jar - maybe you can find some celeste spray paint. Also, with the yuppification of duct tape, the availability of rainbow colors, you might just find a reasonable approximation of celeste duct tape!

-I've used the big mouthed water bottle
-The cage rocket
-The plastic jar
-The modified water bottle
Simply slit the bottle then stick one of those rubber pipe joint deals inside

Hm...I guess they make them in pink now, too. Oh...and note that it will not fit in some fancier cages, since it's not round.

The only problem / complaint I've got with the Rocket is that it doesn't work well with the non-traditional cage holders, typically the ones that grasp from the side like:

Thanks for the tip on the Coffee-Mate container. I thought about that, & realized that somewhere in the cabinet, there was probably an old "jar" of the stuff, with a red lid. Sure enough, I found it- had been sitting on a kitchen cabinet top shelf for a long time, unused. Looked like the right size too, picked it up- kinda heavy, over half full, I thought. Turned it over- expiration date was in Nov 2004! Well, I can safely dump the contents with no guilt- but nope, contents had turned to concrete. Well, pretty close- no breaking it up with a spoon, or even a table knife!
Began soaking in hot water, replacing hot water evey 10 minutes or so. The lump just wouldn't come past that "waist" in the container. And when it *Finally* did, after much soaking, wouldn't come out of the mouth of the jar!
Finally got it out without damaging the jar though, now it's clean inside & out, last thing to do is peel the label off. Good little cage bottle tool holder for free. It should work OK until I get around to ordering a Cage Rocket, never heard of 'em before this thread & they look like just the thing.

I had one of these: https://blog.makezine.com/archive/200...ed_like_a.html
but the parts inside tend to suck, and you really can't customize it. I would go with a gutted waterbottle, but I have a rear rack now

I have never had to grab a tool, pump or patch kit while riding along, but I have often had to drink from my second water bottle. The seat bag is the best place for tools.

I am intrigued with the idea for my commuter bike that I want to put my sons seat on the back. There would be no room for a bag.
also my normal polar bottles are too tall for the second bottle cage.

An empty Parmesan cheese container wrapped with HVAC silver tape works for me. Nice reflective aluminum foil.

King Cage Behold Tool Pouch fits under water bottle cage
What I want to do is basically fill a water bottle with essential bike tools - spare tube, small pump, tire levers, etc. The problem is that the skinny neck of your standard water bottle makes it difficult to fit anything in there, so I was wondering if anyone made a toolkit that fits in a water bottle cage, or a water-bottle-sized storage container, so I can carry stuff around in the second bottle cage.
Does anyone know if this exists?

Yes! I saw this thread and remembered I DID ONCE HAVE EXACTLY THIS! I remember how clever I thought it was (strangely I have since survived perfectly well without it!). I am afraid it was a present from an ex many years ago so there is no way I can track it down, except to say it was given to me about fifteen years ago, it was green, and based on a case in the shape of a water bottle that was moulded plastic and split down the middle, section along the length from cap to base. I'm not sure the tools were very high spec, but adequate and NOT light (for example metal tyre levers) Now I have remembered I am wishing I still had it, but then again it should be easy enough to improvise a better model... now... thing is I have all my bikes set with a single holder now and - I sort of like to have a drink in it I have to say!
