Lux Fat Tire 7D or Townie Path 9D

My local shop has neither of these available to try. I love the look of the Fat tire look, but wonder if I'll need the lower gearing offered by the 9D for the moderate hills in my area. Thanks for your help. I'm 63 and have minor knee issues so love the forward crank. 90% of my riding will be on paved or smooth trails and the remainder on good but bumpy less smooth trails. Thanks.

I was looking at the same pair. While the townie looks a little more refined I like the look and feel of the true cruiser.

The townie having 27 gears and hydro brakes is really appealing but I am drawn to the fat tire 7D. It’s a tough call and I’m I. The same boat as I don’t think the local shop has either in stock.

I’ve never ridden a Townie , but own a couple of Cruiser 1’s . I like the ride and frame geometry of the Cruiser frame .
From what I’ve read , the Townies peddles are a little more forward than the Cruisers .
Trek is closing out the Matte Titanium Fat Bikes . I like the black one , but can live with the MT one . I have a Honey Brooks B17 Imperial that’ll look good with one .
I vote Fat Tire Lux 7 I did
