This was on the C&O a couple of years ago. Veteran with a prosthetic leg towing a trailer with Harley the dog along for the ride. He was finishing up the whole GAP/C&O that day or the next. This photo also demonstrates the best reason for a B.O.B-type single-wheel trailer.

Perhaps now wearing an AERO suit to reduce drag.

Like when you wake up hung over and late for work so you decide to just throw on the clothes you wore to the party last night.....

I had been in Michigan visiting friends for a couple of weeks and took the southern (Route 66) way back.
My Slingshot CX saw this big guy at an I-40 gas stop west of Holbrook and told me it wanted a photo op.

Kingman is on TV as I type this, a showing of the movie Edge of Eternity with Cornell Wilde. Worth watching if you get the chance. Set in Kingman. You guys aren't in it.

It was around 90 F here today, much better than the 110-115 norms, down in the Mohave Valley. 👍

Are you there 60 years ago when the movie was made in 1959? If so, I'll take another look next time it comes on. That '57 Chevy in your pix might have been there at the time and might actually have been in the movie although I don't recall seeing it. Didn't see no Cannondales.

I stopped by the Encino Velodrome quarterly swap meet yesterday. Only bought a $10 alloy seat post. They were racing 1/10 scale R/C cars on the bike track. Pretty cool. I only had my phone, so the on track pictures aren't great, but heres a few. Cool cars. Looks like fun, but I don't need any more obsessions.

The rest of the airplane is in the garage. And if you think you have too much bike stuff, this guy has extra wings stored outside

ummmm..... I saw my shadow?
well, I also saw a gorgeous evening sun, bathing everything in wonderful warm light!
....and I saw that I should get a nice shot of a sexy Italian bike.

Good to see the old Encino velodrome , back in the 70's I lived pretty close . We would hop the fence with our 10 speeds and ride when nobody was looking . Also we would watch the real racers on Friday night . Come to think of it I would see the RC car racers there too .

I'll admit, I was not riding my bike when I saw this bike-shaped bike rack in Concord, NC. It's still kind of cool!

But +1 on the lighting effect; this is why photographers call that time of morning/evening the "magic hour". Even the plain gray pavement gets a slight russet tone.
