Grabbed this at a flea market yesterday, I'll clean it up and put it on my '75 Schwinn Varsity (turns out Big Bird is a 1975 not a 1974).

This came with it, I'll clean it up and flip it.

I was going to wash them, lol. No plans, if interested. Some seams coming apart, but nothing bad.

I found this Fuji Sports 12 on someone's lawn with a free sign on it. Everything appears to be original on it, The gumwalls look like they literally melted.
I have not even washed it yet, but after a quick lube it rides, stops, and shifts smooth.
It is an 80 model with a November 79 build date.
I'm looking forward to giving it some tlc this winter.

I'd say this ranks up there with my catches and saves. Woman from an affluent neighborhood nearby replies to my ad last night and says she has a Cervelo and if I wanted it. I bit even if I had doubts. She gave me her address and where she left it for me. Drove there this morning and lo and behold, a 2012 R5 VWD. Full carbon 1x11 and my size (just need to change to a shorter stem). It appears not to have been ridden for awhile. Score! My first modern road bike. lol

Schwinn gumwalls used to do this. You have the classic Terry tennis racquet clip on that fork blade.

Thank you!! I was wondering what in earth that was for. It has such a strong tension and I couldn't figure out what it was made to hold.

I want to you to teach me your ways. What exactly does your ad say and where do you run it? That is one hell of a score.

I picked up two free Ross bikes, one is a Splatter painted Mt Hood mountain bike and the other is a Ross Eurotour 5-speed. Does anyone have an idea what year the eurotour is?

So I joined fb couple weeks ago....a blue super sport showed up for sale. Pretty far for a rough shape looking bike. Fast forward and today and my son had a cc meet in the area of the bike. Set up a time and went to go look at it. Real rough. Then the guy says he has another one. Now it’s 2 rough bikes. They are my size and I’m ok with rough shape bikes. But, after being home and realizing( sorta figured but schwinns usually come apart) that EVERYTHING was froze I was abit frustrated. As they sit it looks like I have frames and forks and stem and bars. And the poor Brooks seats are toast. I’m excited to have some chromoly fillet brazed projects though. 40 for the pair btw.

Ross was still making those when I started in shops in '77 and I assembled more than my fair share of them. Bottom of the line but they worked. That's probably a '74-'75, maybe older. Nice Mt, Hood!

Friend of mine got a complete '56 Corvette dual quad intake setup that way. Air cleaners, carbs, linkage, fuel lines and manifold. Woman told her ex he had until a certain date to come get his stuff out of the garage or she was putting it on the curb. He didn't, she did. Buddy drove by and saw the intake so he stopped and asked if she meant to throw it out. She did. He offered to pay her something for it but she told him all she wanted was to have it gone.
