Which bicycle is better for commuting through London?
Which bicycle should I opt for between the two: Boardman 8.9 SLR Carbon Road Bike for £630 1yr old OR the Jamis Renegade Exile 2019 for £540 brand new? If anyone knows which would be a better option for a daily commute through London of around 18miles?

The Boardman sounds fun to ride, takes fenders and 28mm tires. Do you need a rack? Do you think you might want wider tires for bad roads? Otherwise sounds reasonable. Jamis looks like a nice bike as well.

If I was commuting in London I would doing it on a Brompton. This way I could easily use the Tub (subways) when needed.

The Boardman for my money. The components will be of much higher quality, and although it's a year older probably still has more life in it!
