Hunh. Found a bike this morning. It had been dumped off the edge of the trail and was soaking wet. Rescued it; it's currently in the staff lounge, drying. I see one of two scenarios: 1. Rider got frustrated with broken brake cables and dumped it, or 2. Thief got frustrated with broken brake cables and dumped it. Either way, I put up a found ad on CL. Sorry, can't post a pic yet, not with the ad and Yahoo futzing around with my email.

Found this guitar out with a "free" sign on it as I was riding home yesterday! It's a cheapo Chinese Gibson, but it sounds pretty good for being free!

I found myself on the ground ten days ago, in a heavy rain, after hitting a puddle-obscured pothole. I know every puddle hides a pothole and still managed to hit one. It's my own damn fault.

Landed on the right shoulder. Hit it pretty hard. For the first week it felt wrong, with lots of "snap crackle pop" sounds and sensations. I'm 39 and this is the worst I've hurt myself as an adult.

I got some nice pictures taken with my alter ego, Spooky Mr. Skellington. Nothing is broken and they say the AC joint is not torn. Lucky. I'm already back on the bike every day. It is finally starting to feel more normal again...

Stay upright, y'alls.

Tell Mr. Skellington he's a very lucky skeleton. Also, beware of soft tissue damage as it can be worse than broken bones. Glad it's feeling better.

How'd you ride a bike while holding a guitar with no strap?

That's talent, right there.

I think what I'd try is riding one-handed, and the guitar hand holds near the scroll (it's not a scroll but I play violin and don't know what it's called on a guitar), with the neck on the bars and the body of the guitar forward

I wonder if he can play it while he rides...

Now that would be impressive!

I saw a sealed plastic cup of probably diced pears this morning. Somebody must have put their snack on the roof of their car.

Funny you should mention. Sunday I set two pairs of kid shoes on top of the minivan and then forgot about them. Going back to look we found two... one of each.

but today...

^^ I think he's in SF. When they drop an iphone, it's not worth their time picking it up. They pile up in monochromatic drifts against the Ferry Building

Today I found a meth/crack addict on the ground. He was docile enough that I was able to ride around with no incident but he did glare at me a bit.

You are very lucky. I found myself on the ground two weeks ago and now won’t be riding for a while thanks to a broken collarbone.

Found a small adjustable crescent wrench this morning.

It's short. It's light weight. And it's perfect as I just put pedal extenders on my ride that prevent me from being able to remove the pedals with an Allen wrench. This is perfect since the pedals and the extenders need a different sized open end wrench. Now I can easily repair a pedal problem with a single wrench....without having to go to Home Depot and spending $8.

Snakes! Copperheads, specifically. One alive on Monday, just hangin' on the MUP, and a deceased one on Tuesday in the bike lane.

No legit finds, despite keeping my eyes open on the one road where interesting things occasionally pop up.

This morning I found fresh skid marks on the highway shoulder I was riding. Double skids make it likely to have been a semi.

Just found $5 riding to the grocery store and a screwdriver riding home. And 2 aluminum energy drink cans, I recycle.
