What's the frame material on that bike? Is it aluminum?

The Cruiser 1 is a steel frame . You have to go up to the Lux version to get aluminum frame with steel fork . Only a couple of pounds difference in weight. I like the steel frame .

Me too. In fact, I just bought a matte black Cruiser 1 today (it's a very good Friday ). I immediately took her to the park and rode her for a bit. She rides like a dream. It feels great to be back on a cruiser.

Thank you. Very, very smooth ride. I had a Schwinn cruiser when I was 14 (summer of '80), which I absolutely loved (but it got stolen). Then, in the 90s I had a Dynoglide, which was much heavier than my Schwinn. This Electra feels more like my old Schwinn, albeit a bit longer, and probably a bit smoother riding. She feels much lighter than the Dynoglide I had. So I guess three's the charm.

It's always a great day when you get a new bike. Now I need to trick her out a bit. I want to get wider pedals (by an inch or so) if that's possible, and maybe a Brooks saddle.

Make sure you get the right pedals . The Cruiser 1 has 1/2” pedals . Hard to beat a Brooks once they get broken in .

Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it.

One of the problems I'm potentially facing with the Brooks is that all the sprung saddles have chrome hardware it seems. I want to keep this bike as black as possible. Everything. I'm looking at possibly the Lepper L85 hammock as being the solution. But I don't see much out there about the L85.

All of the B67’s except the aged B67 have chrome . The Flyers have black springs , a sprung B17 . I’ve been watching the Flyer Imperial on Amazon for the price to drop , but it’s been stable for weeks at $138 .

I'm seriously contemplating the aged B67 for that very reason. I'm really anxious to try a Brooks saddle and I wish I knew how the B67 compared to the Lepper L85. Have you ever tried the B33?
