My new acquisition - De Rosa
Some of you may have noticed that @squirtdad sold me his De Rosa. He, in turn, purchased from @gomango. So this frame set remains in the BF family!
The speculation is that it is a 1990/91 vintage. I looked up ac 1989 cat and saw the equivalent frame set which was labeled as "Professional." Oh and were there other models at this time that were available as frame sets? I know there were complete bikes sold but not with the Professional title IIRC. Looks like there was one frame set for all.
De Rosa's have been difficult to ID definitively, especially pre 1980. So can I get verification of this frame set as being a Professional? The only chrome is on both chain stays. A pic from me is not available at this time, but can be seen in this thread .
Anyone know how long this single configuration was available? When did De Rosa get its world champion stripes? Who was riding them at this time, teams and names?

Can't help with the ID and history, but here's a little known fact: in Italian, De Rosa literally translates to "The Rosa."

IIRC Ugo's son's were in Minnesota and looked at the bike and said it was built in 90/91 which matches with 130mm spacing
also IIRC from all the De Rosa threads I have read that De rosa did not always have specific models.

After more investigation, Professional is settling out. Years are 1987 - 1994.
Cast brake bridge with heart pamto, not diamant stays.
Although I have 7400 group set taken from the Montello, it will end up with either Chorus or Record 8 or 9 speed. 8 works well on the Pinarello.
The hunt begins! White is likely as are tubulars.
See you on the FS listing! Got stuff I don't need, need stuff I don't got!

After two notes sent to De Rosa, they said 89 one time and maybe a 91 the second.
Both notes said "good frameset" and "rides good" in their replies.
I just sent them a note as I picked up a 85ish Professional for a friend.
That will be a "good" bike I'd bet.
