First snowfall of the season!
Quite a surprise! Was 34°f, north wind at 10mph. Wore my Saucony running jacket with a light underarmour-esque compression top, windproof pants with tights and bike shorts with a thin chamois. Had on my pearl izumi full finger gloves and turtle fur baclava. It was coming down pretty hard for awhile, I put in 17 miles in about an hour and a half.

It's cold and dry over my area (Idaho border) but it snowed from Denver into the Great Lakes region. It will be fairly chilly at Lambeau Field Monday when the Packers play Arizona. The Pomerelle ski area in Idaho already has a fair amount of snow. It looks like winter is not waiting this year.

bogydave, does the snowline recede and advance w/the seasons? I guess it would, and be fun to see each year. I don't live near mountains, and that's a really nice view that you have in that photo.

I am also in God's Country ( Iowa ). I attempted to ride before it turned to snow but though I was bundled up and waterproof I was too cold. I thought about going back out after it snowed but I ate a HUGE meal and could barely walk. It was pretty. I promise I will never say that again this winter!

I do have a good pair of underarmour tights that I had on. I also have the matching top which I wasn't wearing. I had a lighter insulated top, a sweatshirt, and a rain jacket. I live in Northern Iowa and I don't really like the rollers or trainer indoor style riding. I am going to try to get it figured out. I have become very wimpy in my old age.

Just north of you Iowa guys...La Crosse, WI. We also had some FUN with SNOW yesterday! It snowed pretty hard for a bit, but was definitely more rain jacket type snow than fluffy deep winter snow. Just what we need...more precipitation to get those rivers flooded again.
I was working (from home) during the afternoon, but got a quick ride to the store and back after it stopped.
