Stock Tires on Electra Cruiser 1?

I'm wondering if these tires that came on my bike are decent, or should I go ahead and get some new ones? And what would be a good tire to replace them with? They are 26" x 2.125" in size. I only ride on paved surfaces. Thanks.

How old are the tires? Do the tires have any cracks? Schwabe tires are awesome.

My bike is brand new. I doubt that I have 50 miles on it yet.

When and if one fails then replace it or are you looking for a place just to spend money? Roger

No, I'm not looking for an excuse to spend money. I had seen someone post that they had replaced their original cruiser bike tires with some new ones, and that made them realize that the tires is where most bike manufacturers compromise on the quality.

These are the tires?

The tread pattern looks great for pavement. I don't know who makes them, but as long as they aren't overly lumpy looking when you spin them, I'd ride on them for a while. Maybe a long while.

Now, if they are making some noises while leaned over in a turn, that could be the "new" scrubbing off.

It's not like these are motorcycle tires which spin at high speed and handle high cornering loads. I mean, what's the top speed on a single speed cruiser, maybe 20 mph with the right rider and gearing?

I think I'd enjoy those tires as is.

That's one person's opinion with one bike. It is not representative of the bike industry in general, And is not an opinion I share.

The Kenda 26 x 1.95" tires on my low end Giant Sedona X-Trail bike are an excellent general purpose tire. They coast almost like a road bike tire on pavement, Have a smooth ride on stones, even broken concrete and ashfault, and have the traction to climb a steep hill with soft gravel and loose stones. They are even good for resisting flats

Your tires look better then my Kenda's for pavement with their semi slick tread. When they wear out, then fine, You might look at better ones.

I have no intention of changing mine untill they wear out, And even then these cheap Kenda tires are so good, I might put another pair on.

They are putting a better tire on the Cruiser 1 than when I bought mine . They used to come with a tire that had little knobs on it . They were loud and would slow you down when trying to coast .
I switch out to the Kenda 26X1.95 street tire . Like night and day difference in ease of peddling and coasting . Kirby
