I am not looking for a reissued saddle but a flatter saddle that would look good on a vintage bike. (1981)

What about a brooks cambium? I’ve never ridden one, so I can’t comment on comfort.

Are you talking about non-tensioned-leather saddles? There are a ton of tensioned leather saddles out there that look vintage (Rivet, Selle Anatomica, Brooks, Berthoud, Velo Orange and others).

If you mean saddles with long skirts that cover the rails, yeah, there are some more recent designs that don't follow the Turbo style -- which I find uncomfortable.
Check out new old stock Selle Royal Contour saddles. Those are still available for as low as $20. Classic deep skirts, sorta-Turbo style but flatter.
I prefer flatter saddles, with no more than a slight upward flare in the rear. And my butt bones are very narrow, so it's easier to find saddles that fit me properly from the more current Selle Italia and similar style contemporary road racer saddles. But most of the saddles I find comfortable also expose the rails, so they don't have that vintage or classic look.
But I don't care for the ergonomics of messing with classic saddles. Long skirts make it a PITA the mount and adjust saddles. I just ditched an old saddle from my junk bin after a single day's use when I remembered why I hated it in the first place. My butt and Turbo style saddles don't get along, and they're a PITA to mount and adjust. I rode it straight to the LBS and picked another newer style saddle from their take-off bin. They always have a decent selection of perfectly good saddles, so I grabbed a like-new Bontrager with flat design, no unnecessary skirts, large cutout for perineum relief, a bit of padding and flexible shell for less than half price
