2:11. Would have been faster, but I took a couple of turns hella conservative. FWIW, winning pro time was 2:06ish. Here's the course: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...7a33&z=17&om=1

I kinda like the twisty courses. Our best twisty short TT is this 2.4km course:

I mean come on.

as someone who used to do it, i'd suggest NOT racing with your regular specs on.

also - put some more pins on your number.

Yea, I forgot my contacts and wasn't too stoked to wear those, the thoughts of glass shards in eye are pretty scary.

for the pinning, should I do 8 pins and do one on each side as well as the corners?

Oddly enough, there's been two* "pinning" suggestions in this thread (which I've just wolfed down in one go).

1. pins on all corners, one at the forward edge of the number and one in the middle.
2. run the safety pins through like a straight pin - through the number, across and into the fabric, across and out of the fabric, across and out of the number.

* ... someone said crumple the number up first but I don't get that ... maybe it won't flap as much if it has creases all over.

That was a really good thread - hope it keeps going.

There's no good reason to do this, and there's a good reason not to, which is that it is harder to read in the photo finish. Don't do it.

At the end of a race, "surprise death" is the only look I have. I'm sure many could agree.
