My size almost perfectly and it's beautiful. I'm glad that I have a 1978 Trek TX 900 to build up this year or I would be sorely tempted.

Thanks- yes, it's a grail bike that is just -that- much too small for me. Funny thing is that I rode that for 10+ years as my primary - youth and flexibility.
I will say that it rides like nothing else I've ever been on.

If I were buying...we would be talking VERY seriously! Unfortunately, buying is not in my near future...shucks...

If it were purchased as an entire bike it should come with all Campy, Martano rims, Uni-Canitor saddle. If purchased as a frame only, who knows. Either way, that is a reasonable price for an early Gran Criterium in such nice condition.

As far as I know, all of the Avocet is original to the bike. I bought this out of Connecticut back in '83 or '84 as my second serious road bike, and wasn't smart enough to ask the seller for history. I assume that he built this up from a frame.
The seatpost is also Avocet, forgot to add.

Bump for new lowered price and fresh tires.
Just picked up a Serotta CSI, would help to keep my wife happy if I moved something else out. Running out of N+1 room.

It's a good thing I already have a Masi. Yes, it does ride like nothing else. And yes, that is a Milano bike if it really is 1971. And, yes it is beautiful.

That is a GREAT price on a Milano GC. Even though I already own a GC (Carlsbad), I would be all over that if it were a little bigger.

Real racing bikes usually went through a few components if they got used. My 78 Masi is on about its 4th or 5th crankset.

Interesting stuff. I just found a Serotta CSI in my size, so the deal with my wife is N+1 -1 = domestic peace. I love the bike, but I don't ride it (have moved to slightly larger frames) and it's a shame to let it hang on a hook.
And I wasn't looking for the Serotta either (well, really), but things pop up.
