Eddy Merckx I.D. help
I would love some help identifying the model and year of my Eddy Merckx bike. I've been looking around and can't find one just like it. The single bottle mount, Reynolds tubing, and engraved seat stays all together are confusing. The serial number is M-3328-Z. Anyway, if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Go to Cadre.org, a very helpful site for Merckx
Probably a Grand Prix.
Some other more educated members will be along to help also.

are the hubs Campi or just the rear skewer? the 600 kit looks like '85ish.
like I always say finding an exact match on bikes like that can be hard. lots of them get sold as frame only and built with what the customer has on hand, or more likely his old bike.
great looking bike though. how does it ride?

Thanks for your help everyone! Looks like the consensus is an 85 professional. Although I've yet to find a picture of one with 753 tubing, I'm going to go with that so I can finally get some sleep.
Hey OFG, if you could send a photo of the super record group and how much you want for it, that would be awesome. I was going to PM you but I don't have 50 posts yet.
Thanks again everyone!

sorry, that's another excavation: it's a beautiful Pro 753 1985 (it's worth noting the font in "EDDY MERCKX" - it wasn't used on any "Professional"; different types of stickers on EMC bicycles are a separate world, maybe one day I'll sort it out
