Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

schnee - Your picks have been added.

ahand - I added everything but The Casket Lottery. Unfortunately they don't have it. Let me know if you have an alternate.

I think this might work best to keep the "add music" requests to PMs going forward. It will help me keep a handle on it better and people will feel less intimidated about asking for Savage Garden, Ashlee Simpson, and The Carpenters.

I just wanna say, I've been listening to the station a bit and it's been awesome. Not entirely dissimilar to running my iTunes on shuffle, except with stuff I've never heard before + a lot more punk/hardcore/[plethora of genre names for anything that fits in that arena], which I've been really needing.

No discordance axis. Everything else is added.

I've been hearing a nice amount of Doc Watson on my acoustic station. I need to get some on disc.

the berzerker is on there, and i heard plenty of hardcore on there earlier today, some a little more on the "chug chug" breakdown side, which i'm not a big fan of.

oh, yeah, the tossers are good.

but i have a feeling that if you seeded "the pogues", they'd come up soon enough.

I wish there was a way to see who added what music on the play list or on the station. I'm guessing it would be hard to maintain a current list, right?

I agree. Good picks. We were definitely in need of some GBV.

These have been added along with kemmer's. Damn. I need more Pavement in the house.

Yeah it's pretty limited. You can really only view the master list. It won't even warn you if you're trying to add something that's already on the station.

I'm curious to know what parameters are actually being used to categorize the music. The "Why are you playing this song?" feature cracks me up. In whose world do The Shaggs demonstrate "excellent musicianship"?

I'm sure the data being gathered will be used to sell us toothpaste and minivans, but whatever.
