"Bootleg Sessions" DVD available for pre-order

Bootleg Sessions is a collaborative project between several of the heaviest fg hitters from around the United States, including Tom LaMarche (Cadence, Brooklyn Machine Works, Profile Racing) and Keo (Cadence, Profile Racing) doing things that honestly blow away anything you've seen in their online clips. Lots of fresh faces doing crazy new stuff as well.

Check out the official Bootleg Sessions trailer here.

We're making this as cheap as we can without completely losing our shirts... $15 bucks plus shipping. This is going to be a limited run project, so the best way to make sure you get one is to pre-order now.

Looks good. Continental U.S. only for shipping, that kinda sucks.

You could always ask someone in the US to relay your copy to you.

I agree! That should only be temporary, we're working on figuring out distro in other countries/regions. We would like to avoid hammering people outside of the U.S. with unnecessary shipping costs if at all possible. Keep an eye on the website, we'll have more info on that situation soon.

How is the video quality? I mean, I know it's YouTube and all, but the videos linked appear to have been filmed with a late 80s camcorder.

Agreed. Judging from the trailer, the filming may also not be as point as i personally would like. I am admittedly very picky about filming though. Regardless, it's a cool idea and I am sure it will be a fun watch.

Heh! The "official trailer" that I linked in the first post is what you should use as an indicator of the quality of the filming/editing. The parts were shot in mini DV, and the final product will be full DVD quality with professional printing, packaging, etc.

The clips of Tom and Keo are absolutely no indicator of the quality of the vid, those were just to show what those guys are into.

The test copies look very good IMHO. That said, this is definitely not a "film" by any stretch of the imagination. We are not film school students. This was all hand shot by the riders themselves, and a most of it is down and dirty footage. Hence the name "Bootleg Sessions"...

We're definitely working on getting distrobution in Japan. We have had quite a bit of interest from there. Keep your eye on the website for details...

Did i say High-def? I was talking about filming. In all honesty, the basics of filming properly aren't that hard to get down and don't require the nicest camera in the world. When it comes to footage quality, it's not unlikely these days for someone in a group of friends, who is into making videos or filming, to own a gl 2 or vx at the least.

talk to ty @ superchampion, i'm really sure he'd take a couple of copies for vancouver. if only to harass one of his 'employees' duncan who coulda/woulda/shoulda had a part in this... i hear new cameras are around and filming may be restarting...

ty also gets a bunch of stuff from re:load/cadence regularly so that might be one way to get some copies up to the west coast.

I had actually just emailed Ty and he responded saying he's down. So, Vancouver, you're hooked up

Edit to include that we're all bummed that Duncan isn't going to be included in this. We were both in Seattle for Cadence's July Fast Friday, and I know his part would've been killer. If we end up doing another one of these next spring, make sure he gets his @ss in gear and sends us some footage! Ha ha...

Ha ha. Yeah, well, we are going for a relatively simple feel all the way around on this thing, that's kinda the point. Like I said, we're not film school students. This thing is all hammers and nails, not pillows and roses.

Maybe if we rake in a cool $million$ on this project we can buy some *****in' video equipment and fly all over the country filming these guys in high def...

Just for the record, we have the international shipping stuff sorted out now I believe, so we have started accepting pre-orders from outside of the U.S.
