Vintage Classic Design Jerseys

Well, I looked around. Did a search and unless I missed something really obvious, I couldn't find a source or info...

Does anybody know where I could find simple, non-billboard, non-wordy, classic style jerseys, made with today's fabrics in styles like these:

https://laminarturn.files.wordpress.c...gium_front.jpg

Or, like the Bic jersey:

https://www.prendas.co.uk/details.asp?ID=2072

I am looking for the simple 3 color panel jerseys. I have seen a few but the proportions are just not right. Either some of the stripes or panels are too narrow or too wide.

Maybe something in red-white-red, blue-white-blue, red-white-blue, etc, etc

Most of the more classic-style jerseys I've seen lately have been wool like those from Oregon Cyclewear (I think that's what it's called) or Ibex. Nice stuff, but I don't think that's what you mean by today's fabrics(?)

Blame the 90's for messing up jersey's looks. Just as on bikes with their 90's neon and fade paint jobs, those graphic styles and colors did not age too well for us.

IMHO, the neon stuff, exaggerated and wacky graphics of the late 80's, 90's just doesn't have that look that people hope will come back again. Same with the haircuts and shoulder pads. But hey! I could be very wrong.

Now, a question for all of you.... If a clothing manufacturer started making these type of classic jersey styles and colors, do you think they will sell? Would you buy these jerseys if they were available with today's fabrics?

Have a look at https://www.rapha.cc/home/

Whilst in my opinion not cheap, their Country and Classic jerseys are of remarkable quality and for most of you guys, the current appalling performance of the Pound against the US Dollar will work in your favour. Shipping from the UK to the US is not that bad, but I'm led to believe that US Customs can create delays in deliveries and add some sort of import duty, depending on how the contents of a parcel are described? (It's much the same with items sent from the US to the UK - about time our respective Governments focussed on something more important?)

Maybe you're meaning the late 80's as the 80's did produce such iconic/beautiful team jersey designs like the ones worn by the 7/11 team and Gitane/Renault team. Same with La vie Claire and many others. Many of these were also translated into sponsorless versions that looked really good too.
It's the color splatter/neon graphics that came out in the late 80's and early 90's that looked so bad, IMO.

Not cheap in my opinion either. And since I am cheap, no deal. No matter how nice they are, $170 US is way outside my range I'm afraid.

A couple months ago Nashbar had a ridiculous sale on the red Sugoi Wallaroo 290 merino jerseys. I bought a short sleeve jersey for $49.99 and a long sleeve for $59.99. I think I even got an additional 20% off of the long sleeve jersey. If you're able to get even close to that deal, do it. I love these jerseys. The long sleeve jersey might be the most comfortable article of clothing I have ever owned. This is coming from a guy who wears $300 silk underwear.

Hummm not sure what to make of this. I would hazard a guess that I haven't spent 300 bucks on my underwear in the last 10 years.
