I think so.
I think he did. He was posting on another forum but we haven't heard from him in a couple months.
He's a pretty funny guy. Hope he's doing great.

First time I was in a double paceline I think I failed everything there was to fail on your list. And yes the leader did grab my jersey and pull me back. Ya I coasted, ya I left gabs and yes I got yelled at, I yelled back and it all worked out great. Maybe if you get yelled at you should learn by it not be intimitated. I will say I'm a lot more patient then most and rather enjoy having a new rider along to teach.

I had to add this. It happened Sunday. To preface, Saturday we had a training ride that I hammered with the lead pack and did really well. Sunday, up front again. A few miles into the ride my front brakes flew off (cable still attached) and I held them on my hoods the whole while. Anyhoo...
Several guys were in a break, slowly pulling away. There I was in the paceline rotation. Several times guys weren't taking their turn and I had to jump the gap and try to pull through. Well, I was gassed. I didn't pull through hard enough and two guys let me know that I was slowing the break and if I couldn't hang then GTFO! I waved a white flag and said my Hail Mary's. I utterly respect the guys who "yelled" at me - being one was an x-Pro (who eventually rolled everyone off his wheel and soloed the stupid thing).

Usually, when I'm riding with the 1s and pros, I get gassed just taking one pull, so it's pretty much a non-issue

Screw that. I'd drop back and skip the pulls. If they want to try to gap me off the back, so be it. The yelling is fine, but I'm not going to let anyone verbally kick me out of a break.

Heck man, I thought I was doing great until people stopped taking turns in the rotation. Twice, I jumped the gap and pulled through. Then I got gassed and my last couple of pulls were about as meaningful as a squirrel's fart. I should have just sat on, but I feel like I needed to work for fitness if nothing else. Sheesh, there weren't even cookies at the end of this thing.
As far as strategy goes, I'd let that gap develop to 5 or 10 seconds, then jump it all at once, leaving the others behind. I've done this before, and if there are any people trying to get your wheel, you can just take them into the gutter or shoot all the way across the lane a couple times to cut down on their draft.
Give 'em something to yell about.

Well, my training is progressing rapidly. I yelled at two squirrels today, and you better believe they hauled their furry backsides off the front double-time. Now if they only weren't so damn short, I could grab them by the scruff of the neck and give 'em a good shove (only when necessary).
I figure I'll be ready for The Show in 6 months, tops.

Ha, having watched an episode of Nip/tuck, I can't help myself....
So, tell me what you don't like about yourself.
Well, everything, ...I guess.
