Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I couldn't ID any planes, but there's not a lot wrong with them, either way.

Digital cameras do make props look funny, but I dunno if that's what VV is talkin' about.

I shot some footage coming into Spokane a few years ago, and it looked like the props had 24 blades or so. I can assure you they did not

At one point one looked like a mig 29. Near the end it looked like a possible f 22 or f 35. I’m not really sure what the point of that video was.

The propellers are turning at like 30 rpm. Ignore at your own peril.

I would imagine it’s more closer to 900. In the dash 8 we would usually cruise with the props at 900 or 1050.

Took the new 27.5+ wheels out for a spin in the desert today. 11 miles in the heat on the VV hydration protocol. Stem is a little high and a little short it seems. Need more weight on the front wheel. 27.5+ is way better on this bike than 29er.

Horizon Air from Portland to Spokane. Weirdest flight ever, but a cheepo one. PDX > GEG > PHX. The second leg was on a 737.

Nice I almost went to them a couple of years ago, when we started parking our dashes. The wife didn’t want to move out west though. Worked out better for me in the end to stay where I was.

Not to be a downer and I probably bought a defective unit but my Harbor Freight cleaner quit after a half dozen uses. I should have purchased the extended warranty.

All this talk of daylight savings time, Spring, equinoxes, etc., I’d like to mention that days will start getting shorter in about 16 weeks.

Tires are nearly 2lbs apiece, rims are about 1.25 lbs apiece. Unfortunately I neglected to weigh the hubs.

Riding through some sandy washes without a worry in the world makes the weight totally worth it.

I was worried about the tyre weight when I was weighing them, but then I looked on the spreadsheet and ye olde Walmart Mongoose 27.5 x 2.8" tyres were 1900 grams apiece!!!!

Things I hoped to get done this weekend: rabbiting, bike riding, margaritas, coffee with friends, yoga, farmers market, produce market, cook some decent food, and go by the nursery to discuss fruit tree options.

Squeezed all in except swinging by the nursery.
