I am just wondering what this bike could be worth. Mint Raleigh Chopper MK3. I dont own it yet and this is all the info I have. Is this a bike worth owning? I have no experience with this model.

Not real sure on value but I can tell you it's not real vintage or really British it's a 2004 or so aluminium reproduction . I would guess only $150-200 value.

Based on the pics I for one would pass on this one in detail the all around quality is really a lot lower than I would expect. While it looks good in a nice full shot from the right distance in detail you can see this is a lesser China made bike that was not well assembled set up hard to tell from the pics but most everything on the looks poorly set up assembled. This one will need to be completely taken apart and rebuilt likely with some new parts to be ride safely which will cost $200 in parts and labor do it yourself or pay some else this bike just isn't worth it unless you can get it for $100 or so as wall hanger decor piece for your garage.

I had one just like it missing the rear sissy bar, it was a POS, stripped the frame and junked it. Was going to use the crankset on a resto mod Sports I wanted to build but never did.

Really depends if you've got nostalgic feelings for Chopper... I do & I love the Mk3

Wouldn't call pictured example totally "mint", if it's been taken out to ride it's "used" and the chrome bits start rusting disappointingly fast. Red paint chips easily. They came as a boxed bike so yeah build quality depends on who finished it. Parts quality is typical Raleigh, all works fine & the SturmeyArcher is perfectly suited.

Original/restored 1970s Choppers fetch crazy high $$$. Might be sold as a kids bike but it fits me fine. The Mk3 looks the part but IMHO rides better, the alloy frame is a lot lighter and surprisingly good to ride once it gets going. V-brakes work better than originals' horseshoe calipers.

Mk3 Choppers probaby rarer in Nth America than back in UK where they've had a slew of different colours & limited editions after the first batch of Reds. Downunder we too only received the first batch Reds officially; but my rider is a UK bought "The Hot One" with red frame and blacked fenders & bars.

Pricewwise they ain't really appreciating a decade on. Still a fun toy & you'll really attract eyeballs.
