I like those proportions, and right about the rum, nothing else will do, but for authenticity, it must be Barritt's ginger beer. After the finish of any race in Bermuda, the first Dark and Stormy is drunk while motoring from the finish to the club in Hamilton and it's really nice if the boat has a good fridge.
The D & S is the national drink of Bermuda. Bundaberg is antipodean rotgut, pure and simple.
Disgusting.
See top post. There is only one way to make a Dark and Stormy, although no bartender is going to give you LOP's proportions.

Riding during rush hour is sketchy. No angry drivers but def aggressive. Ended up making a right turn when I wanted to go straight because I didn’t think they would let me over.
Not going to lose sleep over it, but cyclemeter shows average speed of 19.1, when it transfers to strava it drops to 18.3? I feel bad for getting angry at kate, she was telling the truth.
Didnt go to bars from much, but I do remember someone ordering me a surfer on acid once. I think it was Jager, pine apple juice and something else. It was good, somebody should try it.

My FIL hammered on my wife’s bottle of Lagavulin pretty hard at thanksgiving and we ended up having to move him to the Japanese whiskey in order to at least have a little bit left. It had lasted 2 years until then.

Decades ago, my Dad discovered Laphroaig in a liquor store in Westminster MD (PA's weird liquor laws were even weirder and more restrictive then), and bought a bottle. Before he even had a chance to try it, Thanksgiving weekend happened, and I and my 5 siblings, and our spouses and children arrived. Between me and my brother, two brothers-in-law, and a nephew, we polished it off and he never got a drop.
He was some pissed, I can tell you.

Though I have to admit, I’d have to be under lock and key to have a bottle of Lagavulin last 2 years! 4 months is tops under my roof.

I gave him a choice between two cd versions of Handel's Messiah. He took the one with Kiri Te Kanawa.

2 of us rode 60 miles today with some steep climbs. It was 40 at he start and got up to about 50 where we went and it was windy the whole ride. One of those rides when the wind seems to be in your face no matter which way you go.
We went 8 miles up a canyon and crossed over to a different canyon on a road that had a short dirt section on each end and was only one wide lane, There was some granny gear grunting and swirling wind and some traffic due to road closures in the area from snow.
Of course after a sweaty climb comes a screaming descent while you are wet. Fun day, beautiful in those hills. Rain is supposed to be here and the snow might come down to 2500 feet.

Friend of mine wants to start mountain biking. He almost pulled the trigger on a marlin 7, I talked him into a roscoe 6. Naturally he will end up with some kind of GT.
