Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

seatpost is a dura ace 7400(b), but the stem is a shimano 600 ultegra 6400; I don't like using conical expander type stems.

This is the road frame I made, it's True temper OX platinum road tubes, and has a full Ultegra kit on it, some old some new.

You built the frame? I hope you posted that in Framebuilders forum. What a hell of a nice classic looking with modern stuff road bike. I'd like to see a different angle of the bike to see how you worked that white paint down to BB. Very very nice job man. What's the weight and how does it ride?

I actually didn't post it in the frame builders section yet, the finished weight was 18.5 lbs and it really rides very nicely. I'll grab a second pic of the front tomorrow.

Here's my gal. Need to cut some carbon from the fork....but I'm always too busy riding her to take her in....

She's a super joy to ride. I can't ever get enough. Like Italian crack.

For restitution you should send me that beautiful bike, since I'll treat it right.
I bought the wheelset with those tires already mounted. I am not particularly fond of them either. The rear is pretty worn so they are getting replaced over the winter.

Looks great. Saddle and bar position are throwing off the aesthetics to me, but still a really cool bike.

That's cause it's appealing! To be honest, I like that mold too.

Because flicker stores their photos in a database and it produces and record ID not a photo name like .jpg. You must click on the 'Advanced' in the reply and load the flicker Url into the img code that way. It uses full uri and should pull the graphic out of the DB.
