Basketball seems like it would be a great cross training activity for cyclists. good for bone density and ligament strength etc. TBH if I had a court nearby and someone to play with, I'd easily ditch my weekly jogs for a game or two of 21. Doesn't BillyD play b-ball?
Sometimes when I jog, I throw in spurts of backward running, and those "side shuffle" things (whatev they're called), especially if I'm getting ready for an off-season Sierra backpacking/mountaineering trip which I do most years. Basketball seems like it would accomplish the same sort of ankle support type stuff.

I've been using Zwilling/Henckels knives for ~40 years. I prefer the chef knives without rivets, as the handle feels better in my hand. But to each their own.

Stolling downtown sipping my latte and heard some live drums off in the distance. I got to the town square to see it was Dusty Rug doing their sound check! It's for the St. Vincent DePaul turkey drive apparently. Channel 12 even sent a news crew up from PHX to cover the goings-on.

Washed and waxed the bike. Will prolly have to re wash and wax tomorrow, it’s pouring rain here and so much moisture in the garage the wax didn’t apply properly. New tires are on. I’m never buying cream wall again, any kind of dust on the hands sticks right to the wall of the tire and I can’t get it off. Stupid. With that being said, I don’t think they look bad on this bike. Chain is soaking in Jet fuel to get the mineral spirits off, then I will let it hang dry.

Went outside today. I continue to have gobs of power when I keep expecting it to drop out, due to riding ~6-7 hrs a week (vs twice that much). Hit a few segments at the upper end of repeatable interval pace without undue RPE:
3:45 at 352w (5.4)
9:45 at 303w (4.7)
3:00 at 350w (5.4) <-- ok so this one was pretty mid
Weight is down a few lbs too so they are objectively better performances.
I can't explain it, maybe I'm just enjoying a temporary period of reduced fatigue? Or maybe it's the oft-anticipated arrival of #dadwatts? I'm sure the depth isn't there, but maybe I could still attack the hell out of a criterium on this low volume.
