Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FSA which I will have replaced with a GRX-810. Unfortunately means also need to have the press fit bottom bracket replaced too. The FSA doesn't have any power meter options, which use on longer rides and with the trainer so that I don't burn out my limited engine.

I need a grx power meter for my checkpoint. I have MTB pedals for it but I never use them. I throw my garmin rally pedals and use my road shoes.

Shimano doesn’t need to add gimmicks to sell its products.

Nah, too much personalization...1 side left crank,1 side right, 2 side crank, pedals etc., some will want the sensor& transmitter to match their device readout

I ordered snow tires for the Mini today.

It's 50F and raining.

The ground is still soft.

WTF.

True, in the case it would be trek that opted to not put a shimano power meter on the bike.

If it was the SRAM SLR it would have come with one. My Gen 6 was SRAM force, dual power meter.

This isn’t me complaining btw. Just stating facts. My buddy the manager was shocked it didn’t come with one. I was the first SLR 7 he sold.

There is a 105 stages for sale on FB Market place for 200. Tempted to throw that on there. I would like to keep it matchey but 400 bucks for a new one is out of the question right now, and if I am going to spend 400 bucks I might as well spend the 680 and get the whole dual power explosion……. Again that would have to wait. I can keep running the garmin rally but I am convinced they will break. Just feel so cheap. One failure to unclip, or one run in with someone from Colorado and they will be finished.

Oh I understand better now. I still think this should be a user add on, but now your comment makes sense.

In other MTB news, I got all excited about this 2021 Epic for sale on MP,

then I noticed it has a Reba instead of SID,

but maybe it's still reasonably light...

Nope, looks like about 27ish pounds.

Yeah I've read a lot of hate for the Brain. That's the good thing about this one, no Brain action, but 27 lbs isn't enough weight savings over the Ellsworth. I could probably ditch the Psylo on the Ellsworth for a low miles straight-steerer SID and get down to 27. I'm looking for 22-25 lbs.

Wow. That seems quite heavy for a bike like that. Fork, wheels, tires, dropper are all replaceable for something lighter, but it's not going to be cheap to do those mods.

Again, oh please. Copying only "counts" in desktops OS? Ok cool, how about the mocking of permission check popups in the old "I'm a Mac" commercials followed by a dozen of them some days on the MacBook Air I'm typing on now?
