Derailleur barrel adjusters for my toolkit....
Hey there Forum-ers, I volunteer at a couple non-profits repairing donated bikes. Sometimes I take bikes home to repair. I run into missing barrel adjusters on old cable housing. There's many varieties of derailleur barrel adjusters, do you have recommendations for a set of replacement barrel adjusters in my toolkit?
I see these on Amazon, but there's a bunch to choose from. Any help appreciated. TIA.

There are a variety typically either 5mm or 6mm depending on whether for RD or brakes. I can't make any specific suggestions for you, but you might make note of what versions you normally run into, then buy a few accordingly. FWIW it's usually not necessary since these can be scrounged form trashed components as the opportunity arises.
BTW most co-ops and old time bike shops keep boxes under the work bench where derailleurs, brakes, and other parts are tossed when pulled off bikes. This makes it easy to find a comparable component to strip hardware, pulleys, cage, etc. as needed. We did this for decades and only dump the "bones" after all the meat has been stripped off.

Barrel adjusters on most Shimano shifters and rear derailleurs are interchangeable, standard M5 Threading. You can probably get plenty of these by taking them from broken parts. The ones in the link you provided would be this size.
Brake lever barrel adjusters tend to come in M6, M7, M8, and M10, plus other assorted oddball sizes. Jagwire makes replacements for M6, M7, and M10, Dia-Compe makes M8.
