Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Easy Etrex 35 + light out front mount

I don't like Edge computers since I prefer AA powered GPS. My GPS of choice is an Etrex 35, but I was missing an out front mount. I also ride a lot at night, so I also wanted something that allowed me to easily mount my light.

I bought a 2€ bar extension from aliexpress and rigged this in half an hour. I attached the etrex mount on the extension and attached the light underneath using the stock rubber band.

Now I just need to find a better place to fit the battery and I'll be completely happy. Anybody knows of a good way to attach a 6x 18650 battery on the bike? I hate the cloth case attached with velcro straps.

That looks awesome. I hang my battery at the back of the top tube up against the seat tube using a Velcro strap.

Doesn't the constant rubbing of the battery pack wear or scratch the frame paint? I hang it on the handlebar to avoid this.

not really. I should have mentioned before, I 2 way taped a small rubber pad onto the battery. It stays pretty tight.
