Body Wipes

Hey All.

I'm one of those who uses body wipes instead of showering at work. I just wanted to share the wipes that I use in case anyone is interested. I find these to work great for moderate wipe downs when arriving at work. They are well scented and work great. Check it out below. St. Ive's wipes. Their awesome.

If you want to be more green just bring a bar of soap and a wash cloth in a tupperware thing. I always feel wasteful using wipes.

I see your point..but i feel im pretty green enough as i am. The bar of soap and wash cloth doesn't do it for me. Besides where I change I don't have access to water. I'd have to go to the bathroom and I am not going to sit there naked in the mens bathroom while my co-workers walk in. In my private room the wipes work well. If anyone was looking for wipes these ones work well.

macteacher - Thanks for the suggestion. I was a little more than disappointed to see that the St. Ives U.S. website doesn't show wipes anywhere at all?

When I don't have a chance to shower (and as well, I can get by without one sometimes at my job) I just use some 91% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) applied onto a towel and then liberally to the skin of...let's just say to areas where apocrine glands are numerous ;-)

It dries quicky and is virtually odorless; I don't like scented products. It is used to cleanse the skin prior to drawing blood, so it is a pretty effective bacteriocidal agent, and bacterial actions on secretions are a major cause of odor. In fact, rubbing alcohol is my preferred deodorant, even when dressing up to the nines.

I picked up an extra box of baby wipes from Aldi. Cheap. Work great.

Remember Operation Desert Shield? Folks back home were sending baby wipes to our troops every day.

At my local grocery store they sell a bag of housebrand "travel wipes". I compared them to the pack of housebrand baby wipes a few aisles over. The only differences seem to be that the package isn't as cutesy and you get more for less (pack of 50 for 2 bucks vs 32 for 2.50).

I use soap and water for my upper body, but for my nether regions I can't really rinse in the sink at work (hey, i'm not very tall), so I use unscented baby wipes from the 99¢ store.
