after about 500 miles, it's starting to fade. I don't expect it to hold the color forever.
Cool bike, @cptsilver. How are the black sidewalls holding up to braking- any sign of wear? I'm eyeing the same rims for an inexpensive commuter build.

Thanks. Yeah, drop bars make no sense on this bike, and I only rode on the tops and hoods anyways. I hardly ever get over 20 mph on it, so wind resistance is never an issue. I've got those bars on my Windsor Clockwork, and liked them so much that I decided to get them for this bike.

Just finished the rebuild on a 77 Schwinn LeTour III. Paint was beat so I stripped it to bare metal, and repainted with new repro decals. Currently set up SS 52/18. Considering a new 700c wheelset so I can run FG/SS.

It's a Nashbar storage rack
It's very stable, easy to assemble, the rack arms can be quickly and easily adjusted independently, and although it's technically meant for 2 bikes, I'm thinking with clever positioning it can hold 4.

Geese I haven't posted here in a while. Anyways, here's an updated pic of my build:
I've got a 48t which is gonna go on it tomorrow bringing me up to 48/17. I know the lockjob is fail, I forgot the key to my U lock that day. I've also got pink bar tape--well it's actuall hockey tape, I'm cheap--coming in the mail and my Cateye Velo 9 should be r here any day now.

Old Giant TCR Aero frame (paint and stickers poorly made by me). Since this photo, i changed the pedals to clipless (shimano SPD-SL), the gearing now is 48X16, and the tensioner is pushing up the chain. I made a perfect chainline, with no noise at all. As soon as i touched the chain with the tensioner (Alfine one), I get noise
Maybe one of those Dmr style tensioners would work better?)
Anyways, what was suposed to be a cheap beater bike turned into a nice machine. I used to ride fixed also for some time, but right now the freedom of SS is really nice. Off course, a lot of upgrades are already planned
PS: sorry for some english errors. Not a native speaker

yeah, I'm really interested in those, BUT, with my 48X16 gearing, I believe that with one half link I could get a nice tension.
