I’ll list my reasons:
1. I just have the frame/fork/headset/seat post/saddle/ shifters.
2. The seat post is worth good money, being a Rossin panto Super Record.
3. The headset is also a Super Record, so that comes off.
4. I already sold the friction Super Record DT shifters, with backing plates.
5. The decals are not great. The pearl white has yellowed.
6. The panto Rossin fork was stripped to all chrome and there is a small gouge.
7. I already sold the Vetta tiger stripe honey saddle.
8. I don’t want Campy friction shifters, and Suntour or Simplex won’t mount there.
In summary, I can end up with the frame and fork for less than $50. Which clears the way for a rebuild.
My plan, already in a box:
1. Dura Ace 10-sp downtube shifters. This will require I remove the piggyback mount, modify a set of Shimano backing plates, mount them, and re-install the assembly back onto the downtube.
2. Modolo composite aero brake levers, mounted for riding the drops.
3. Shimano 600AX calipers. I may see about painting them black, or at least the arms.
4. Innicycle headset in black, with a modern stem, Ritchey 4-Axis, -17/70mm.
5. Specialized Hover drop bar with 20mm rise. White Zipp wrap.
6. Superteam carbon 35mm wheelset.
7. Braze-on Ultegra 6600 FD
8. Ultegra 6600 RD
9. Stronglight Pulzion crankset. 50/34
10. Thomson zero-setback seatpost (black)
11. Full carbon saddle (black)
12. GM white repaint, black panto.
13. Same repaint on fork,or Kestrel EMS Pro repaint fork with Rossin panto etched in.

Had a ‘96 Litespeed, decided it needed a makeover….
Sometimes, a "neo-retro" is just an older frame with new components. The new group doesn't bring the frame to the next decade, much less 2.5 decades. In this case, yes, it does. It's easily a 2021 ride, not just a 1996 frame with newer bits.
Came to me with 3x Campy, quill setup, all alloy, nearly 21lbs of dull, despite decent climbing gears. Just had no pizzazz. A switch to SRAM Red didn’t quite work out (horrible FD among other things), and it still rode "heavy." You could feel a bike in there, though, wanting release. A switch to the Ritchey fork snowballed, as it necessitated a new headset, stem, bars. I continued that with the post and saddle as I switched to smaller frames across my fleet. Other stuff came from a carbon frame that cracked. 15.84 as you see it; the chain will bump it over 16. Should be fun.
UPDATE: Chain put it at 16.43 lbs, but then I dropped the cassette from 11-30 to 11-28 and dropped the Wolftooth Roadlink. 16.39 lbs. I'll take it as is, BUT, I did find some DA 9100 calipers locally, a sale is pending successful contact. Doubt they'll get it under 16.0, but "hope springs eternal in the hearts of man." Ride report once weather permits.
DA 9100/9000 mix, Ultegra 6700 brakes. Stronglight crankset.
Liberal use of Chinese bars, post, saddle.
Superteam wheels, Zonkie cages.

Not a real road bike
So here's a picture of the faux-fixie I built.
The main feature is a SRAM 2 speed automatic hub with coaster brake.
The frame and the rest of the bike are all eBay purchases except the wheels which were built on the SRAM hub by a LBS.
Basically I was in love with the super clean look of fixies but I realized I didn't have the legs or the skills to ride one, so I built something that looked like a fixie (unless you spot the brake torque arm) but was so much easier to ride with the 2 speed and coaster brake.

The bike rides like a dream. It's amazing how it seems to glide over the road. It also accelerates like a demon and holds speed really well. It really loves the hills and fairly flies up them.
My plan is to upgrade to Ultegra Di2 12 speed this coming winter. Parts are near impossible to come by especially as a shop employee buying them wholesale. I have to wait, and wait, and wait for our suppliers to get them and I'm hoping by fall they will be in good supply.

Both my bikes recently got wheels swapped.
Lemond went from Roval to Ultegra and Intenso went from Reynolds to Enve. Much improvement when winds pick up here in SoCal.

Tiagra 4700 groupset (except for FD)

Getting back into cycling and am using this bike I built back in 2013. It's a Surly Pacer outfitted with Shimano 105 and Ultegra components. Nothing serious but a fun and comfortable bike.

Scott Foil RC 20. The bike shortage is still very real. I have been looking for a Foil for over two years now and finally scored one from Incycles in CA and had it shipped to NY.

I like speed
Mid-range spec bikes come and go at Incycle; particularly anything in 54 and 56 cm. It's just crazy how much complete bikes are now. I stopped in at Incycle Chino and they had a Scott Foil with Ultegra 8000 in 54 cm going for $4299.

Yeah that is the Scott Foil RC 30 with mechanical 11 speed and alloy wheels. Frankly not the best value, since a Canyon Aeroad CF SL 8 Disc which is also is mechanical 11 speed is $4400 but is also lighter and comes with stock 50mm carbon wheels. The advantage the Foil RC 30 has is the full integrated cables. With this said I literally have been trying to score a Canyon Aeroad for three years with zero luck.
As per my Foil RC 20, totally sold out on the East Coast. I must have called every single Scott dealer on the East Coast and all of them said they weren't taking any orders and they had zero Foils regardless of size or model due in. My local Scott store was dumbfounded I found one, let alone in my size. A couple YouTube guys like GC Performance noted how Scott hands down has some of the worse stock and projected stock for 2022. GC Performance made a video on a Foil RC 20 on how a high end customer wanted the RC Pro or RC 15 but there was no stock to be had so he switched to a RC 20 because it was available and because he liked the paint job more and then upgraded most of the parts dropping 2lbs of weight.

2017 Colnago CR-S alongside my 2016 Specialized Sirrus Elite fool around bike. Until today they had the luxury of being in Feedback Racks in a spare bedroom but with a kid on the way, out to the garage they had to go unfortunately...pedal hook storage turned out great though.

Came packaged really well, brackets are well made but I used my own heavier duty screws for everything and mounted them to 6" x 1" x 4' Aspen boards which were screwed into studs.
Lots of measuring required to perfectly triangulate and position the three brackets so that the bike touches all three points (not to mention getting everything level and matching the height of the lower boards for both bikes), but it turned out perfect on both bikes...just had to take my time and double/triple measure everything.

I've adapted the road-racing frame that I built with Colin Laing as a senior in high-school in 1976, to my aging geezer body.

It was stolen but returned to me by a Good Samaritan years ago, and sat with the thief's paint job for years, until I started riding again a couple of years ago. My brother gave me a powder-coating job as a birthday present, and the framebuilder who did the powder-coating also widened the rear drop-outs. We thought we had 128 mm with good alignment after a couple of hours of effort, but it came out of the oven at 126 mm.
I'm a lot less flexible nowadays, so I put a taller stem and stem shifters on right away, the latter for safety reasons, actually, despite the old jokes and my friend's Schwinn Varsity comments.
I learned about triplizers here on BF, and got a Red Clover one, which works very well with the original Suntour Cyclone front derailleur. I have 49-42-28 chain rings, and a 7-speed 14-16-18-20-22-24-28 freewheel, which gives me a wide range and close spacing, with surprisingly little duplication compared to many triple arrangements. The drop from the 42T ring to the 28T ring is the easiest and most reliable shift on the bike, which is nice on rapidly steepening hills, without the help of indexing. I chose a Suntour V-GT Luxe rear derailleur to replace the original Cyclone.
I re-spaced my old racing and training wheels for 126 mm and six-speed freewheels, but got a new pair of sturdy wheels to run seven-speeds in back. The silver rims and whitewall tires look pretty good too, to me at least. They are 28 mm, and a very close fit.
The whole setup works pretty well, and I've been getting around on it!
