Wow! I just raised my seat and...
So I noticed something very amazing today. I raised my seat about 2 inches and it became noticeably easier to skid and skip. Maybe raising the seat (within reason, of course) helps in 2 ways: 1) positioning 2) weight distribution
Any similar experiences? What do you guys think?

You could just stand up. Seated skids are more difficult. Also, two inches is a big change in saddle to bar drop and leg stroke. Are you sure you're even fitted to the bike correctly?

yes, I know what I am doing on my bicycle. I was posting this from the standpoint of "in-theory" rather than practicality. Obviously I adjusted my seat back to where it had been. I was working on my bike, installed a new seat-post, and forgot to set it before I went for a test ride out in front. thats all..

Huh? You make no sense. So do you believe you are lighter because you are further from the ground?
If you consider a bike's geo, you actually have more weight over the rear wheel the higher the saddle.

I'm a little confused here, I'm having trouble imagining a properly fitting bike that can have the seat post raised 2 inches and still be able to reach the pedals. Two inches is an awful lot, especially for saddle height. Optimum saddle height tends to be as high as you can get it without being uncomfortable to ride.
well, having it that high would definitely make it easier to lock up your knee.

the guy simply had his seat very low. then started trying different seat heights until he found it. i could see him raising 2 inches if it was low. so i dont know why its so hard for some of you to understand...

I rotated my seat back a little bit per suggestion in my soma before/after thread and it seems more comfy, which is hard to imagine because it was awesomely comfy before. Little moves!
I rotated maybe 20 degrees.

lulz at thread.
If I raised my seat 2", I wouldn't be able to touch the pedals.

so we're all in agreement, his original fit wasn't correct, but he doesn't want to admit it.
