Vintage Raphael Geminiani Value

I have a men's 60 year old French-made Raphael Geminiani 10 speed and I am trying to find out what it's value is. It is all original and it is in fair to good condition and completely restorable. All French-built components. Some surface rust, but frame and everything else is still solid. Still has factory paint with white pin striping. Can anyone give me an idea how much it is worth?

We can't value a bike without pictures and you'll need 10 posts before you can post a picture. You can go to introductions and introduce yourself; that will let you hit 10 by replying a few times. We'll need pics of the drive side, the components, and frame tubing stickers, etc.

Good advice. There are probably a few other threads you can contribute to.

Upload some photos to your Album/Gallery page, and let us know to dig them up, if you can't post directly.

https://www.bikeforums.net/g/user/444912

You mentioned in your other thread that you were just returning to cycling after a bit of a hiatus. I wouldn't be so quick to sell your former bike.

Get back on the bike, and get a few miles, then decide what you wish to do.

The Classic/Vintage subforum has a lot of people both restoring old bikes, as well as making them rideable to their current needs.

There was more than one producer for Geminiani badged machines.

IIRC some of the nicer ones were done by Cizeron.

Forum experts may be able to identify the specific maker when images are posted.

A range of models were produced.

How do I submit a request to have my bike valued?..I have done the introduction and have received some posts back...and then replied to them. Thanks for your help...New at this, so don't know all the procedures.

Every vintage bike is "completely restorable". The question is whether it is worth the expense. Most bikes are more about making road ready and safe, everything functioning. Restoration is limited to those top of the line, most desirable names (which is a short list).

Rust is never good, and all French components can be a plus or a minus (think craptastic Simplex plastic derailleurs).

In the future, put something in your title other than "vintage bike value". The whole section is about vintage bike values.

OK...Thanks..Just wanted to relay the fact that the frame was not rusted through, making it unsafe to put on the road.

If all else fails, google posting pictures on Bikeforums.net.

You will likely find 1,000 or more prior postings with this same exact question. OK, I googled it and there are 132,000 postings on this topic.
