84 Bianchi Eco Pista - Celeste
Life is strongly suggesting I move two of my track bikes along to new owners. ha.
I have this 84(85?) Bianchi Eco Pista frame I would like to sell. I want to be fair here and not over. I have a local buyer who might be interested.
Thank you for your time.

Actually. it's a 1983 model, manufactured in late 1982. The Aelle in the Eco Pista doesn't add much weight over the PS in the Super Pista, maybe 100g. However, that appears to be a road fork. Are you including the headset and bottom bracket?

ahhhh ok, 83 model. Noted.
Yes, BB and HS included.
Road fork? Didn't the Eco come drilled? I am not an expert, just looking for clarification.
Many thanks for your time, T-Mar (again)

My '83? ecopista front fork was undrilled, and I used a kierin brake.

The Eco Pista forks during this period were not drilled. I used to see lots of them when I competed at the Montreal Velodrome. Still, it could be have bee drilled by the previous owner but I was basing my assessment on the fork rake, which appeared to be slightly more than a track fork.

It's hard to say from the picture. I can't even tell if it has a Piaggio decal, which would at least establish it as early 1980s. Serial number? Piaggio era models, typically have a two part serial number, located on both sides of the seat lug.
