Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2. I'm guessing the Marietta Daily News provides little to no coverage of real college sports (SEC).

Incorrect.

I bet some nearby UT Jr. basketball fans (if such a thing exists) could tell you something about Barnes' late and post-season success. SMH.

After a month+ hiatus, winter cycling activities resumed today. It was cold, but I HTFU. More traffic than usual for a Saturday evening. It was good to spin in the safe haven of the office park.

It was the first ride since the shoppe pimped my ride. The handlebars are OK. The saddle will take some getting used to. I was sliding forward, so I think I need to move it up?

No flybys recorded. #RealMiles

It's in the garage. I'm not going to measure it on a hill in the middle of the night.

My garage slopes slightly toward the front. I ended up measuring my bikes in the kitchen after verifying it's level. Mostly. But since I measure them all in the same place, it's at least consistent.

Garage floors are usually pitched towards the garage door for water run-off.

At any rate, it wasn't pointed toward the front.

Ours is particularly uneven where the washer sits. Sometimes it'll scooch over a bit then start wobbling and throwing the uneven load errors.

It was a wind advisory day again so I skipped the road ride and drove to a mountain bike riding area. I rode 4.5 hours with some long, steep climbs. There is a 3 mile climb with ruts and loose rocks and today I descended it instead of climbing it, like I usually do when I go there. It was rougher and more rutted than I've ever seen it. There was a guy trying to help his girlfriend descend it and they moved over so I could go bouncing past.
