Replacement pads Modolo
Came across a pair of Modolo Speedy brakes and handles would look good on my Faggin bike.Im in need of pads LBS don’t to carry replacements.any help?Thank You

If they still have the original holders, you can find kool-stops on ebay for $20ish.
I did this recently with my Speedys, and the bike stops on a dime.
I used a spray oil to ease the pads in/out, else it would've been pretty difficult.

Kool Stop makes exact fit inserts. Black or salmon. I use both and highly recommend.

I’ll be using kool-stop pads for a lovely pair of Modolo Professional brakes I have slated for my current project. The original sintered pads are in near perfect shape, but I’m confident that kool stops will be worlds better of an upgrade.

Sanding Brake Blocks
^^^^^ Kool-Stops for your Modolos.Some of the standard Modolo composition pads work acceptably, especially after .5mm has been sanded off the faces. For some reason they don't all work the same???
I tried out a set of the Kool-Stops on the Speedy brakes on one of my bikes and there's a world of difference. $20 bucks well spent.
BTW, I sand a small amount of face material off of even new brake pads and especially old pads. Even new pads have a hard surface that takes quite a few miles to wear off.
I've found that 3M Medium Drywall Sanding Screen works well for this. I've been able to restore hard old brake blocks to usability by removing ~ 1mm off the surfaces to access the softer material below.
